Application & Wear

Before applying, make sure to shake the bottle well — this step is important and shouldn’t be skipped. The formula needs to blend thoroughly for the texture and color to apply evenly and perform its best.

I applied the blush using a blush brush, and the formula was super easy to blend. The packaging dispenses just the right amount — no mess, no waste – and feels luxe, as you’d expect from Hourglass. I recommend applying it to the back of your hand first before picking it up with your brush for the most even, natural finish.

At first, the color was subtle, so I did go in with a second layer. It built up beautifully without breaking up or looking patchy, which is always a win in my book.

After about six hours of wear, my cheeks were still glowy and fresh-looking – no fading or dryness.

The only downside here is the price, but honestly, that’s expected with a high-end brand like Hourglass. At the moment, it is selling at $36 at Sephora. If you’re someone who invests in luxury makeup, this blush definitely delivers the quality to match the cost. Not to mention it will last you a long time. I’d actually love to try more shades.
